One of the most common repair items we deal with is power supply faults. Switch mode power supplies using surface mounted components are becoming increasingly common. Nothing, however, is too difficult for us to repair. Although damage to the PCB tracks dose present its problems, quite often the faults are due to bad habits like trying to clean equipment without taking adequate precautions to protect the electronics from water.
